While you may see an improvement immediately after the first treatment, to achieve maximum results it is recommended to have 2 sessions 4 weeks apart. Profhilo generally lasts 6 months if 2 treatments are given. To maintain the results, one treatment session is recommended every 6 months.

Before treatment

• Avoid blood thinners like aspirin and other anti inflammatories, fish oil, multivitamins or Vitamin E at least 24 hours beforehand if possible as they can increase the appearance of bruising post treatment

• Avoid strong heating of the body before the treatment (sunbeds, saunas, direct sunlight)

After treatment

• Avoid exfoliants, chemical peels, retinol & vitamin C products or any harsh chemicals for a few days after the treatment

• Avoid vigorous exercise for 7 days

• Avoid using the sauna, swimming pool, hot baths and solariums or extremes of hot or cold for up to 2 weeks post treatment

• Do not drink alcohol for 24 hours

• Make-up should not be worn for 48 hours to prevent infection

• Avoid aspirin for 48 hours
