CLASSIC FACIAL

A classic facial is a skin care treatment that involves exfoliating and cleansing to clear clogged pores, quench thirsty skin, flush toxins and remove dead cells, leaving the skin rejuvenated and nourished. A massage component is also included which aids in blood circulation and lymphatic drainage, and helps to relax the facial muscles which can slow the onset of wrinkles on the face.

Facial

What happens during a classic facial?

Each facial begins with a consultation so the right products can be selected and then the relaxing part begins!

  • Pre-cleanse – Light cleansing to remove any make-up

  • Cleanse –  A deeper cleanse to remove any dirt and pollution

  • Tone –  To refresh the skin and balance the PH

  • Skin analysis – An assessment of the skin so a personalised treatment can be performed

  • Steam - To soften and open pores in order to allow any necessary extractions. This process is done to clear individual pores that have become clogged with excess oil or dead skin cells, which can form blackheads and acne

  • Exfoliation – Removal of dead skin cells and build-up of pollution and debris

  • Massage of face, neck, and shoulders – Provides nutrients to the skin, initiates relaxation, and improves lymphatic drainage

  • Mask – Specialised ingredients to enhance the facial potential and focus on the skin’s concerns

  • Protect – Moisturise and/or use of serums for specific concerns

Effective and long-lasting results can be achieved when you commit to regular facials and a competent skincare routine. After a facial, the skin generally looks and feels good for about a week. When facials are more regular, the longevity of the effects improves and can give a continuous healthy appearance. The recommended time between each facial is between 2–4 weeks.

Whilst facials can improve the skin, they can't treat severe skin issues, including wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and anything more than very mild acne. If you are looking for a more intensive solution, you can add an LED light therapy session or chemical peel to your facial treatment.

Did you know?

A study published in the journal Biomedical Research, suggests that facial massage can activate your sympathetic nervous system, reducing your anxiety and uplifting your mood. There are a lot of pressure points on your face that are connected to various systems in the body and our bodies respond to every pressure point differently. So, the benefits of facials are not only confined to glowing skin but organs as well.
